This trip has been some time in the planning. Not the "real" planning, but just having it's own space on the list of "things to do". Other items on the list, for example, Burma and Cuba slip further down. The first bit of "real" planning was about twelve months ago, when we booked our open-jaw return flights with BA - Heathrow to Moscow on February 15th and back from Seoul on March 8th. The line up this time consists of me, Andrew and Gavin (all previously of tours to the Balkans, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, China, North Korea), joined this time by Dave as "fourth man". Flights, trains and hotels are booked, passports at the embassy. Now what to pack for three weeks in a Siberian winter?
